Egg Coffee in Neo Cafe has a slightly thicker and richer flavor than Cafe Giang. When you order this distinctive drink of Hanoi, it would take about 3-5 minutes to have your cup of dense Vietnamese coffee with the light yellow creamy soft egg foam on top served in front of you.

4. Café Dinh – a creative mixture of Hanoi egg coffee
Cafe Ding belongs to the same family as the owner of Cafe Giang. This shop was operated by one of the sons of Mr. Giang, while Cafe Giang was entrusted to another.
Their most prominent drinks are egg cocoa and egg coffee. Cafe Dinh has its own concoction for its cafe trung from the same ingredients of coffee, egg yolk and condensed milk as the family’s recipe. You can feel the strange but excellent mixture of bitter coffee and greasy egg yolk cream for an egg coffee cup, and a sweet flavor for egg cocoa.
The rest of the menu in Cafe Dinh is monotonous, with only a few other drinks. Together with Cafe Giang, Cafe Dinh is one of the pioneers in bringing egg coffee to the world and making it a symbolic drink of Hanoi.
For the location and interior, Cafe Dinh isn’t the best one on the street. The look of this shop shows a typical old-school Vietnamese coffeehouse with bare decoration, small rooms and low stools. However, the quality of its egg coffee still covers up that shortage in aesthetics.
